Your daily tasks:
Greet players with courtesy and professionalism.
Manage tee times to ensure the schedule is followed and delays are avoided.
Ensure smooth traffic on the course by monitoring the pace of play.
Offer assistance to players as needed (rules, directions, safety).
Ensure compliance with club rules and proper course maintenance
Communicate effectively with the team to quickly resolve any unforeseen issues

The ideal profile for success:
Good knowledge of golf and its rules
Positive attitude and natural interpersonal skills
Organizational skills and autonomy
Comfortable with computerized tools (reservation system)
Bilingualism (French/English) is a significant asset
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Store clerk / Starter / Marshall

Want to spend the summer combining your passion for golf, exceptional customer service, and course management skills? If you have an in-depth knowledge of golf, are known for your quality service and are comfortable using a computer, we have the ideal position for you!

The Club de golf Rivière Rouge is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Shop clerk / Starter / Marshall.

Your responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome club members and guests.
  • Answer customers’ questions about the store’s products and services.
  • Advise customers on the choice of golf equipment according to their needs.
  • Carry out transactions, manage the cash register and issue receipts.
  • Keep the store stocked with golf products and maintain an attractive display.
  • Use the computer to manage reservations, departures and inventory tracking.
  • As a starter, organize the golfers’ tee-offs to ensure smooth play on the course.
  • As marshal, circulate on the course to ensure compliance with the rules, manage the pace of play and offer assistance to players if necessary.
  • Keep store and common areas clean and tidy.

Your profile:

  • Golf enthusiast with good knowledge of the game, rules and equipment.
  • Comfortable using a computer and managing computerized systems.
  • Exceptional customer service, with an ability to create strong bonds with customers.
  • Rigorous, organized and able to manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Bilingual in French and English to serve a diverse clientele.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including weekends.

The Rivière Rouge Golf Club, a family business founded in 1972 with over 50 years of history spanning multiple generations, is looking for its next Director to oversee operations, enhance the club’s visibility, and improve customer experience on the course.

Located in the heart of Coteau-du-Lac, the Rivière Rouge Golf Club offers you the opportunity to fully embrace your passion for golf while playing a central role in managing and promoting our club. You’ll join a dedicated team where your ideas and leadership will enrich the experience of our members and visitors. Here, every initiative aims for excellence and teamwork—no missed shots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational planning and coordination: Plan, organize, and oversee the daily activities of all departments, including the pro shop, restaurant, golf academy, and customer service.
  • Budgetary and financial management: Work within the approved budget, generate revenue, monitor cash flow and payments, and provide regular financial reports.
  • Team supervision and engagement: Recruit, hire, train, and manage seasonal staff while fostering a collaborative environment. Schedule shifts and encourage teamwork.
  • Administrative management: Handle material orders, ensure bank deposits, and comply with all applicable legal regulations.
  • Event organization: Oversee tournaments, golf packages, and corporate events, customizing client experiences to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Social media presence and promotions: Collaborate with an external agency to manage promotional communications, enhance the club’s visibility on social media, and promote its reputation.

  • Motivational leadership and personnel management skills, inspiring collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Warm and courteous customer service aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of golf.
  • Financial management expertise and budget oversight.
  • Proficiency with computer tools (Office Suite, POS systems, social media).

Requirements

  • University degree in administration or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of golf and overall golf club operations.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season, as well as for events and tournaments.
